Temporarily Closed!

Effective 01-FEB-2016, Action Props has stopped manufacturing LARP weapons. Since they were handling our Custom orders, the Custom Shop is now closed until we can find a replacement.

To say we are bummed is an understatement of EPIC proportions ,Action Props made the finest LARP weapons on the planet, and their custom work was nothing short of spectacular.

We are currently seeking a replacement Custom LARP weapon manufacturer. When we find one, we will re-open the Custom Shop and post the glad tidings here. Meanwhile, if you know of a company or individual who does excellent latex-foam LARP weaponry, please send their contact information to me at info@latex-weaponry.com.

Overview

We accept orders for custom weapons on a case-by-case basis. There are two types of custom weapons: those that are unique, one of a kind items and those that are modifications to existing factory products.

Each request will be judged on a case-by-case basis by Knighthawk Armoury. For modifications to existing factory products, if we believe that a particular request is feasible, we will forward the request on to the appropriate factory and await their verdict. If the factory decides that they can accommodate the request, we will begin working with you to secure your custom latex/foam LARP item.

If you have a truly custom item request, we'll forward your request on to the shop in England that does our custom work. If they can and will accommodate your request, we'll let you know what the cost will be and you can decide if you want to proceed.

Under no circumstances will we accept any custom order that has a time requirement on it!
If you need your custom item by a specific date, then we will not be able to help you. Too many things can go wrong, including paranoid levels of customs inspection, packages returned for whatever reason, Icelandic volvanic eruptions, weather, and so on.

Also please remember that another option is for YOU to do any customization you want by yourself. We have
detailed instructions on-line, some great advice, and a list of lessons learned available to you in our Do It Yourself pages; related information can also be found here.

Please note that we will NOT replicate firearms nor life-saving equipment of any kind.

Knighthawk Armoury guarantees all customized products to be free of defects and to be of good workmanship. We do NOT guarantee that what you order is what you really wanted, so BE SURE to order only what you really want!   :)

Once an order has been placed and payment has been received, the finished product will be delivered to you USUALLY in four to twelve weeks - the duration of the build will depend on a variety of factors, including time of year, complexity of the project, material availability, and so on.

A final note: Custom work is EXPENSIVE and takes a LONG TIME. If you see a stock item that is close enough for your needs, go with it.

What You Need

To order a custom item or customizations to an existing weapon or a prop, you will need the following:
  1. A written description of the item and the changes to be made

  2. Complete specifications for the item, including length, width, and depth for each aspect of the finished product where such information is appropriate

  3. A drawing or a photograph of the item, or of the requested changes, is strongly recommended

  4. Any special instructions or requests
We will try to accommodate all reasonable requests. Sanity is not a requirement.

In fact, now that I think about it.... sanity might be an active hinderance to you since custom weapons are not cheap. You have been warned.

Regarding Copyrights

If an item you want had been copyrighted by someone else, please remember that the law requires at least five separate points of divergence from the copyright. For example, let's say that you want a sword which was featured on the cover of a book - and just for grins let's say the cover artist was Michael Whelan. You scan the image and send it to us with a complete set of specs. The five points of divergence might be:
  • Blade color
  • Length
  • Style of the pommel
  • Hilt color
  • Width of the blade
Neither Knighthawk Armoury nor its vendors will ever knowingly violate the copyright of any individual, business, or corporation. Please let us know if you have any questions by emailing us at
sales@latex-weaponry.com.
